My First encounter with the legends at The Thali Cafe, Bristol.
So, due to unforeseen circumstances, I have moved away from my little piece of Gower paradise and I now find myself living in Bristol, for the meantime anyway.
Moving to a new place as a freelance photographer was never going to be easy in terms of picking up work so I set about on a marketing mission. I designed some flyer with some of my food shots on and ran around the city like a blue arsed fly, dropping flyers in every postbox, under every door and if the places were open. I went and introduced myself to the culinary world of Bristol. From the fanciest restaurants to the little homegrown eateries, I was everywhere!!
Anyway, long story short... two days later I got a call from the Thali Cafe. They'd seen my travel shots across Sri Lanka together with the beginnings of my food styling and photography and thought they'd see what I had to offer.
It was a great shoot for me both styling and photography wise and I went on more missions before hand in search of Indian style vintage props. My collection is getting big now.
These guys really are the closest you're gonna get to authentic Indian food here in Bristol so If you haven't tried them yet, head to one of their five cafe's across the city. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!
