So ahead of the release of the second edition of the Sri Lanka book, I've been on a mission to take things to the next level. I've rebranded the company, redesigned the whole book, reshot many of the recipes as well as adding a whole host of new ones.
No it hadn't really occurred to me that having a cookbook with fish on the front wouldn't be so tempting for the vegans and vegetarians amongst us so I knew I needed a new cover shot.
Having just returned from another trip to Sri Lanka, I had a whole load of potential images to use. Then it came to me, I asked myself what is the root of Sri Lankan Cuisine? Its all about the spices!!
Now I had shots of individual spices, spice gardens and a few shots I'd set up previously to go in the book but my styling and photography was pretty basic at the time so I wasn't happy with anything.
So I decided to reshoot and style a new cover and this is what I came up with & Its actually going to be the final cover image for the second edition which comes out in a few weeks.
